There is no question NC State is the weak stepchild to UNC...far more so than Aggy to UT. It will be interesting to see how the ACC charter members try to survive when Clemson goes Big 12. Many think UNC/Duke will never separate. I call BS. They can play home/home every year in hoops and keep that rivalry...they don't need to be in the same league.

NC State won hoops titles in '74 and '83. They are still a sad stepchild. Their campus sux in the worst way. Their athletics facilities aren't on campus. And being so close to both UNC and Duke, their defensiveness is on red alert perpetually. They have great fans though and badly want to compete athletically.
