Big East Commish Resigns?

CBS is reporting Big East John Marinatto has resigned. I'm surprised for some reason.

That guy had a lot of opportunities to keep that conference alive and he botched them all. When you put basketball ahead of football, you fail. See ACC.

If some of the key ACC members do bolt for the Big 12...I suspect the SEC may take one or two as well to finish up their resume of schools.
In the end, you may have the ACC and Big East having to join up to salvage some type of football presence. Good grief....WVU will be giving back the "karma" to Pitt and Syracuse in that scenario.

i'd say that the Big 12 would be getting in on some of that "karma" you're speaking of also, after Pitt pulled the end around last year (bailing on Big 12 talks to join ACC), when that idiot Boren opened his mouth about OU not being a wallflower.
