Even if we are choosing based on football it's pretty short sighted and impractical to think that schools taken now will continue to succeed at a high level.
See: Baylor and tcu into big 12. Programs are only as good as the next coaching hire.
Seems to me if they are comparable as a whole take Louisville which is a lot closer and far more accessible.
More shuffling of chairs on the deck of the titanic of college sports as we know it, IMO.
10 years from now who knows what it could look like. But I bet many more small schools get squeezed in the process as $$$ continues to reign in AMATEUR sports - these are STUDENT athletes after all. Travelling 1200 miles makes perfect sense bc wvu had a nice run recently
