Nobody specific. I was just responding to Slove regarding some clown he had heard about who was talking down about Baylor and saying that the big boys should sign Briles away from us.

Can we suspect this will look much like Kelly's at Oregon? As in, the buyout will equal the salary X remaining years on contract? If so that would pretty much mean Briles will be at Baylor until he is done coaching.
This should put him in the top 15 or so in terms of pay, maybe even higher.

Sooooo $35 million, or so, just to hire him...then you gotta pay him $4-$5 million a year for the next 5 or more years. That's an awfully big investment for anyone to make in any coach!

Didn't he get an extension after last season? Briles is living life on easy street. I wasn't worried about him leaving. Now I'm lol'ing at the national gurus still denying the obvious.

The difference is that Baylor's football program is on the way up, and theirs is on the way down.

Since he said "still..." that seems to be "following the news of the extension and increased buyout...". Haven't seen anyone on this thread worried he still might go. Are you still worried that he might go in light of this recent news?
