Proof that Capital One is a joke. EVERY team makes it to post season including a National Championship and more than one Top 10 finish along with the most victories EVER in the top 4 sports (I'd venture to guess that Baylor holds the record across all sports this year as well), but you don't win the Capital One Cup? That award is set up to reward the school that fields the most teams rather than which school is most successful with the teams they field.

  • They only use top 10 rankings to compile their cup rankings, which is a joke. Almost every sport has some sort of Top 25 ranking poll that they could use. Baylor is not getting any credit for all the teams we had finish in the top 25, but outside the top 10, which of course includes the biggest one - football.

  • Absolutely not right. We don't offer men's or women's gymnastics, fencing, swimming, wrestling, rifle, ice hockey, and many other obscure sports that other schools do. That's why Stanford always win. Not because they win all of them, but they offer them, therefore get points for them. A fairer way would to allow each school to turn in their top 10 sports. Baylor being in the 20s is about as good as we can do. Maybe teens if we win national titles, or final fours in every sport we offer.
