After beating the #1 team in the nation and finishing the year 4 out 5, the Bears don't even register 2 votes!
However, UT has two games back to back that were embarrassing loses and still lands at #25.
That's some bull right there.
We actually lost a vote in the coaches poll.
I look at it this way, there are bowl games to be played, which Big 12 team do you want to face the least. Im not sure but I think Baylor is the answer.
yep- use it as motivation to destroy a team in the bowl.
And TCU falls out.
i agree, nein. if the games were this weekend, then i don't know that there's another team in the conference that would be a worse matchup for the rest of the country, than Baylor. We're playing so well right now, that i hate to take 3 weeks off before our next game. i do think that the emergence of our running game will help the offense not be too far off come December 27th though. i'm ecstatic about where our team is right now, ranked or not.
to the OPs original thought though, polls, in general, are stupid, regardless who's voting in them. UT's got one more win than us, beat us by less than a TD in Austin, and basically has the same losses we do, yet there are almost 100 voters in this poll who think they're a better team than we are right now? these clowns don't watch the games. they're voting for the horns because of their name and 8-4 record.
