And it's the head coach's job to see that he can't go and make the decision for him.
Pro Ecclesia, Pro Mundus
The NFL needs to rethink the "inactive" players because that is just plain stupid
Worse still, Im betting that injury takes longer than the offseason to rehab so you cant trade Cousins away for weapons either.
Safe to say the center gets cut in the offseason?
HaHa i was just thinking the same thing.
That was not many yards but Josh Morgan blows
That doesn't matter. A player is always going to say he can go.
He's walking on the sideline and the examination took less than 5 minutes. I don't think he damaged anything else, at least not severely. If that's the case, no way it takes more than the offseason to rehab.
Seahawks line up sell out blitz and you cant run a double slant quick enough to get a play off? Or a screen?
I bet it will turn out that he had something torn from Baltimore on
And it's the coaches job to save the player from himself and listen to the doctors, the players will 99% of the time say he can go...
Redskins should fire Mike Shanahan for being more concerned about the playoffs and giving himself job security than the health of his franchise QB
There is no way that's the case. Robert's agent, lawyers, family, etc would never, ever allow that.
I feel the same way, but I think this happens all the time in the nfl.
Guys play hurt all the damn time. Guys play injured all the time.
Shanahan is going to have some tough questions to answer after this game. Why didn't Dr. Bestkneespecialistintheworld get to look at him against Baltimore? Why the **** was he even out there to begin with today? What the **** were you thinking you ****ing clown?
The only question that matters is "once it was clear he was hurt again, with about 7 to go in the first, why didnt you go to the backup QB?"
As recent as this week Shanahan was talking about how this offense was safer then standing in the pocket
Yeah good point. My questions are based more out of emotion (fury)
You're a weak coach if you can't make that call on your own and let the player win that argument. Let him be pissed. Do what is best for your team, the organization, the player, and your own future.
That's the problem Shanahan was more worried about winning division/making playoffs/his own job security... more than he was worried about RG3's knee
this is such a bummer/ruined day
I didn't realize ivory Wade had already been drafted.
I dont see how a QB who cant run, who cant plant to make a pass, who cant drop back gave them a better chance than the backup did.
Let's not throw stones. CAB ran the hell out of Robert. No one was questioning him for risking Rob's career.
Why say that? Are you just compelled beyond all decency and self-respect to be a douchebag that you really can't help yourself? You go out of your way to make terrible remarks. Like you're incapable of having a reasonable conversation with anyone.
