Not good at all.
It was a pure scramble but I still blame this stupid offense that some of us have been complaining about all season.
His brain and knees are not going to survive all the running. Man I worry about him about like he is my own son.
Cousins is fun to watch though.
Cousins came in 28-28 with the two point conversion
Nice job by Cousins. How hard has that got to be to come off the bench cold and convert on TD and 2pt conversion. Amazing.
He runs so fast that the collisions are just harder. Kind of like what they said with the Bo Jackson injury on the 30 for 30
It's really difficult, maybe impossible, but he has to learn to protect himself better. He's such a great player that I'm not sure it's possible for him to just slide down instead of taking a hit.
That was just a freak play.
I blame Shanahan somewhat for putting RG3 in those situations. I do not like this offense at the professional level. That knee has got to have some internal damage.
Same knee as his ACL tear?
Which is a good thing. If it were the other, it would've more than likely been torn. They're saying it's just a strain though.
Hopefully X-rays were negative. He was back out on sideline and smiling after the winning fg.
This stupid offense is just not sustainable
Redskins won 31-28

That play was completely fluke...not sure why people are talking so much trash about the Redskins O. Being a fan who has watched every game, this O has come miles in a short amount of time with a make shift WR crew and an OL that works well in the running game, but struggles on one on one pass protection. I'll be the first to admit I sometimes scratch my head at what Kyle Shanahan calls at times, but when this O clicks, it's almost impossible to stop.
I think there is a misconception that this is what he did at Baylor. What he did at Baylor on most downs was 4 WRs (2 verticals, slant and 1 out). I just do not like the contact he is taking. Even on the play action stuff it looks like there is so much seepage into the backfield that he gets hit on those.
Like Gruden said I just do not see NFL QBs pounded like he is.
Respectfully, I thought Griffin got hit waaay too many times in the early going of this season. No reason to have so many designed runs for a QB in the NFL, I don't care how fast or agile he is.
Glad to hear it is just a sprain. Hopefully he will rebound and be OK.
It is just a sprain now. Awaiting the MRI. Some think ACL. Adam Schefter reported that but hopefully he is just going off half cocked.
Just watched the postgame and Robert said it did not feel like an ACL. Have to wait on the MRI but he said the xray looked good.
DT, you're one of the posters I respect the most on this board because you always have good input and you're probably the most even-keel, but I disagree wholeheartedly about the offense in this case.
The problem isn't the offense, the problem is the offensive line. They are horrific. RG3 is taking a ton of hits because 1.) he's getting pounded in the pocket, and 2.) he's running for his life half the time. How many DESIGNED runs did RG3 have today? I can only think of 2, both of which were options.
The vast majority of the hits he's taking are not hits that are a product of the offense, they're a product of a terrible offensive line. Griffin is trying to sit in the pocket and make passes, but he's getting pressured almost immediately on most plays.
Team doctor told him the acl and all ligaments seemed fine before mri.
His leg was hyperextended at least 30-45 degrees on that hit. It seems impossible not to least have some kind of damage, unless it is normal for a postsurgical ACL repair to behave that way.
I realize that you've already said that, but that doesn't make sense either. Are you suggesting that the NFL is going to catch up to it? I would agree. Are you suggesting that RG3 can't continue "sustaining" these hits? If so, I agree there too, but the DESIGN of the offense is not what is causing the hits, it's the execution.
