We would have to play Aggies or UT? As an Arizona fan for many years, have always viewed the NIT as one of more depressing activities in sports. I want the season to be over. Since every game of the last four or so for BU was completely predictable, I know how this will go. We will win one, feel good and then lay an incredible egg in second game. I am just hoping that does include a game against either Aggies or UT?
I wouldn't mind playing UT, but I certainly don't want to see aggy. It's been refreshing not hearing about them so much this year. Very refreshing.
I suppose since we won't be in the dance, playing in the NIT is good for the program. But, I'd just as soon pack it in, put it behind us, and start thinking about next year. I guess I'm just weary of this season, and this team.
I doubt we'd be matched up with UT anytime soon in a NIT bracket. That would be pointless since they're in conference and we play them in season already. I always thought their goal was to have at least some intriguing non-con matchups.
You can bank on playing ag. Given the way the season has gone we will surely find a way to make life worse like losing at home to them in a game that is completely irrelevant.
I would just as soon decline the invite than allow them in our gym.
I doubt UT makes the NIT. And maybe not the Aggies either. I think they switched the format where if you won your reg season conf championship, but not the tourney, you get an auto NIT bid. So it's a lot more mid-majors than it used to be.
UT already announced they're playing in the CBI.
So aTm didn't make it either... wow.
