Haven't seen a report about today's attendance. Anyone have a figure?
"Not enough" - Bono
I CAN'T BELIEVE THERE HASN'T EVEN BEEN A REPORT ABOUT THIS. MUST NOT HAVE BEEN ANYBODY THERE. JUST BURN THE PROGRAM DOWN AND SALT THE ASHES.
Today was basically an exhibition. dont know that attendance is extremely relevant. would still be interested to hear from someone in Waco. no one is going to travel for today's game though.
monday it will be relevant. this is the a huge game for Big 12 race and RPI/NCAA tourney purposes.

Decent crowd from the highlights.
Baylorbears.com has it close to 7,000 I believe. I just took a glance at it earlier.
70% capacity seems to be the norm for early season games. Hopefully the place sells out the closer we get to tournament play.
They are actually taking the recruits to the Women's game tonight, Baylor might be the only team in the country where that is viable. I have to think much of that has to deal with the competition in the men's game.

Get your tix for KU now. This game will sell out bc of KU fans if Kansas keeps winning. They might get to number 1 if the teams ahead of them keep losing. It was 50/50 in Austin, lets not let that happen in Waco.
Elite 8's are not enough. 30 wins are not enough. we must win national titles to bring the support - that has been established.
Here we go.....
meant to quote the post below mine but hit the wrong quote box.
not at all. I am just summarizing what we have established through the (in)action of Baylor fans (people at the actual games) and discussions on this topic.
if we keep winning a lot and maybe go to some final 4's, win the conference, things like that then I do agree we will draw more fans. I am sure an undefeated season would help attendance too.

Even with current attendance #s I'd like to see them re-do some of the seating to bring the students closer to the floor. Really need a differet layout than that though. If done, you could still have a hostile environment without needing a sellout.
OSU game is close to a sell out right now... Let's give the attendance threads a rest. We can revisit later but right now I don't see much productive conversation coming from them.
