Stubhub allowed a single jerk to sell me (and Stubhub billed me) for upper deck ROW ! sideline (great seats) yet the jerk sent me row 15 dead straight behind the goal. Now, in order to come anywhere close to getting an "equal or better" ticket (Stubhub policy), Stubhub is keeping my money, asking me to send the bogus tickets back to the jerk (who knew exactly what he was doing in sending me his worse tickets when he clearly advertised and sold me the better tickets) ASAP so that he can have time to resell them, ALL THE WHILE THE NEGOTIATED "equal or better tickets" that Stubhub has found me (and they are NOT as good) are being handled by a big broker and will not be mailing out their tickets until April 1--giving only a 2-3 day buffer should something go wrong again.
I'm tempted to hold the tickets I've got until the better tickets are in hand, then mail them April 2/3 and let the jerk take the risk that the mail exchange might not be fast enough to salvage his ability to resell.
Anybody else getting screwed by Stubhub? Are any of you the jerks screwing me?
My experience was less than stellar selling our Houston bowl seats. I should have Craigslist them

Haven't had a bad experience with them yet and have used stubhub countless times but thanks for sharing. I know when I worked for the rodeo this year, we had to turn some people away from the gates for buying counterfeit tickets on places like stubhub but I would say that was only about 1%. Probably less than that really. Felt bad for the folks.
Mine as well.
I got screwed on some NCAA tickets a fee years ago and they fixed me up with better seats than I ordered. It was very easy.
I've never had an issue buying or selling on stubhub in 15+ transactions. I'm sure bad tickets happen, but I'd MUCH rather trust stubhub than some random person on Craigslist.
At least stubhub is trying to do something to remedy the situation. If you get screwed on Craigslist it's tough luck.
Never had a negative experience with Stubhub after using them often for several years. Having said that, I'm sure it could happen on any transaction.
If you call and file a complaint they will hook you up with new tickets...they are very good with customer service, give it a try...they usually make the guy that falsely represented seats pay for new ones
yep, this happened to a friend of mine. had a bait and switch done to him, on StubHub, called them and told them about it. StubHub replaced the tickets with equal to or better ones, and charged the original seller the difference.
the only tickets remaining that are "as good or better" are in the lower arena and are $1,000+ tickets. And StubHub ain't budging on those. The best they are doing is giving a slight discount on WORSE tickets or readily volunteering to refund my c/c charge.
I don't want my money back. I want to see my ladybears from somewere other than the rafters or from behind the basket.
StubHub HAS better seats available; they just don't want to eat the value difference. I've called every day for 4 days telling them their $100 discount on a $1500 order and I still have to accept corner tickets up high is not acceptable. They're not moving. And I've been VERY sweet while holding the Bag at bay who would like to have a few words with the "Resolutions Manager".
then i'd just turn "the Bag" loose on the Resolutions Manager...
i'm much more diplomatic than my wife, on stuff like that as well. i do my best to find a reasonable resolution to the problem, whereas the wife just goes total scorched earth. not surprisingly, her method usually nets us a better outcome than mine...
Same thing here for the sweet 16/ elite 8 in Houston. Had corner tickets and they moved me to center court. Only problem is they put me and my old man on a handicapped row and we felt pretty bad jumping up and down during the BU vs. Duke game. The handicapped Duke fan next to me got the last laugh though. It was not a CHARGE!!!
Interesting, I had a lousy stubhub experience and haven't used them since. Long story short I sold my Vikings vs. Giants season tickets. Couple days later the dome collapses due to the snow and they have to re-schedule the game to Detroit. The buyer complained and stubhub automatically refunded the money from my account to him and he sent me the tickets back. Unfortunetly I couldn't do anything with the tickets then and had to eat the transaction. Granted I don't blame the buyer, however you would think Stubhub would favor the seller, as without a seller there is nothing to flip to the buyer. I have sold privately since then as I don't need a company acting as judge/jury against the very person providing them the goods they make the money on.
Last time I turned my wife loose in a big way was with an unreasonable hotel weasel in Philadelphia. I did warn him that if we couldn't resolve he would have to answer to her. We got the 2,000+ sq. ft. penthouse suite for a week for the price of a regular room.
your wife would't by chance have any sourthern Irish and/or northern German ancestry in her would you?
German father, her mother's family primarily Scots (just as cantankerous as Irish).
