I hope that really, really far down the list (like 100th in the list of criterion) is religious affiliation unless the hire is for the religion dept.
As to being "Baptist" if you grabbed 10 of them and put them in the room you wouldnt get more than 2-3 to even agree what being Baptist means.
#1 should be - can the person being interviewed to the job at a high level. Therefore, if that is a coach, what I want to know is...can they coach, not can they lead the after game prayer.
I love that the men's bball staff proclaims Christ boldly. Nothing but a plus in my book. I appreciate the different personalities like Mulkey and Briles who are more private about their Christian convictions. But if a coach wants to be outspoken for Christ- Baylor is a good fit for them.
Right. It's a bonus. It's awesome and I'm all for it...but on the list of hiring criteria it should not be at the top.
Where the rubber finally meets the road, I suspect it isn't.
