Guys, heard we have interest in him and heard possibly an offer, can you see if this is true? I was leaning towards not totally believing the offer, but heard he's on top of his grades so far going into his soph year at Navarro. (former La Marque rb top 50 state player)

He was a stud at LaMarque. Will check into it.
wasn't he an agsy commit out of HS?
it was a james david type deal..they said they would take it if he had his grades, which he didn't. Heard now he loves BU as well.
Why does everyone love us on the rebound? Or is it that we're the best option when they get to this point?
How many years of eligibility would he have? Three to play two?

Pro Ecclesia, Pro Mundus
He really liked Baylor then as well, but Baylor wouldn't offer him due to grades. It isn't really a rebound as much as a kid growing up and getting his grades in order. LaMarque is a busted town.
thanks for clearing that up, Brian...and db. i thought i remembered us being high on him, but i didn't remember the details surrounding his recruitment.
This kid is really good. Watched him basically match Jonathan Gray play for play in the state championship game two years ago when Gray was rushing for 8 touchdowns and some obscene rushing totals.
Loved this kid out of high school. Darn good football player.
Only game I see he played was against Cisco. Was sitting behind Traylon Shead. Only one play on Hudl. Found some High school Hudl.
Watch Timothy Wrights athletic and academic accomplishments.

Tim Wright was legit at La Marque. If he matured enough to overcome his grade issues, he's a definite take.
Another thing I found.
Tim Wright / RB / La Marque
We're used to seeing elite high school recruits sign in the JUCO ranks. Academics are usually at the root of the decision. But even so, Wright to Navarro is a major deal. I still think the Cougar runner is one of the top five running backs in Texas, and when he has the ball in his hands with open space ahead of him, he's pretty much untouchable. If he can get into a major university with a spread offense, it's lights out.
OK, I'm remembering his situation a little bit more. The one that really still frustrates me is Lache. Could you imagine him and Robert in the same backfield in 2011? Geez! Robert was right, "He ended up where he should have been in the first place."
He probably would have had the same initial difficulties adjusting to the offense in 2011 as in 2012, but it would have been a sight to behold. Think about if he starts the 2012 season from the beginning the way he ended it.
Tim was splitting time with Shead until he got hurt. He's a 112% take
I could definitely see us interested in this kid if he will qualify. For 2014 we will have RS Sophomores Chafin and Linwood, RS Freshman Jefferson and then early enrollee True Freshman Terence Williams.
That's a LOT of talent, but very young talent. Wright could probably come in and compete for the starting job as soon as he steps foot on campus.

great speed and plays bigger than his size. friend on La Marque's staff is the one that told me about this. Said he saw him the other day and he looked like a monster, and he is staying up in corsicana which anywhere is better than la marque/texas city for alot of kids. Tim fell behind on his grades early in high school then his father was killed at the end of his jr year. Everything I was told though he was a great kid and always played his heart out.
He only had 6 carries for 86 yards. Any way he can get a redhsirt or medical redshirt at the juco level?
Do you agree that he could start from Day 1 in 2014?
That area eats kids up.
If he's recovered from his injury yes he could come in and be the go to back from day one. Noy saying it would be easy for him, but this is a kid that wouldhave been the #2 back in the state behind on Johnathan Gray had his grades been in order he was that talented.
We'd have a nice three headed monster with him , Johnny Jefferson and Devin Chafin.
he had 60 for 370 in only 7 games. had a hamstring injury most of the season
Linwood will be in there.
Hmmm I thought he only played one game. I gotta text Tim and see what's going on give me a couple minutes guys.
What's his size now?
