Well, one sports book anyways. Haven't seen a line elsewhere. Have to say I'm surprised but Vegas clearly follows us more than the clowns on ESPN do. At least Palmer and Lou Holtz gave us some respect last night on the bowl selection show. Reece Davis can suck it. Bunch of SEC homers.

very surprised by the line given where the game is being played. Some mad respect for our team considering the Pac12 is a pretty good league this year as is the Big12 when compared to the B1G or SEC.
Rece Davis went to Alabama and he never played or coached a sport. That doesn't make him incapable of making sound judgments on sports but it does help explain why he says stupid stuff a lot.
One opened at -7 right after the announcement but began shrinking almost immediately.
On a side note, why does Vegas not setup the BCS bowls and rankings? They are more accurate than any coaches poll, ap poll, etc.
Im shocked. This is really interesting because it is a team not getting votes vs a team that is essentially at home ranked #19/20 who finished second in a major BCS conference. I suspect it will swing to us being a dog but Im just flat stunned we didnt start as the dog.
^^^ yep, if game played next week and at a more nuetral field I'd agree with Baylor favored. They are hot and in a groove offensively right now. Defense doing nice too.
But, I feel that 3 1/2 wks off will stagnate rhythm of Offense and momentum of D possibly. Hope I'm wrong but team doesn't do well after off wks and didn't get going til late in Alamo last yr too.
I just think UCLA was tough draw close to their home and after 3 1/2 wks off.
UCLA is good finally. Got a coach that's hardened and toughened em from a country club mentality is what a UCLA fan that played college ball out there is telling me. I respect his judgement too. We're going up against a hard nosed team he says! We'll see?
Teams based on offense tend to struggle in bowls, teams based on defense tend to excel. Offenses get stagnant from not having real reps and the timing gets off. Defenses get rested and 3 weeks to practice and it isnt as much about timing. I believe that is the reason that teams with solid defenses tend to do very well in bowls.
I'm seeing Ucla -2 right now
I worry about the sAme thing Florida Mike. I remember how incredibly flat we were against Illinois.
Still, I thi k we have a good shot at this.
Look at last year. We played very well offensively and went in the tank defensively after playing well at the end of the year. the offense doesn't worry me, it's still our defense that' worries me.
how many against Washington? 67 points. maybe if we had not been so rusty, 100 points?
^^^^ Thanks for the levity ...
Totally agree. I expected us to open as a seven point dog or there abouts.
UCLA -1 or 1 1/2 of this afternoon
highest of all bowls...no surprise
Ride that gravy train with biscuit wheels.
Back to being a pick'em. I don't think it's going to move much from here. This will be a great game. Sure wish I was going.
Line moving sharply towards UCLA - 2 1/2... Is there an injury we don't know about?
No, just money going to the ranked team.
and "home" team..that's usually worth 3
Yes. Lache being good for a cramp per game. As a result he'll only run for 185 and 2TD.
@KegsnEggs: Over/under in tonight's UCLA-Baylor game now sitting at 82.5. It opened at 74.
