This is not the thread to list excuses or reasons you can't make the trip to San Diego, nor is it the thread to bash those not going. Instead, let's use this as a central point to put details regarding watch parties throughout the state.
Here in San Antonio, there is some work being done to secure a private room somewhere (Dave & Busters or other bar/restaurant with capacity) to hold an official watch party.
Anyone else working on something?
Yes, working on putting one together up here. I have 3 spots in mind with one being on Lake Grapevine where they would block off a room for us and have a full bar/menu. The other is a place with no bar.
Let me know what DFW folks want.
Texan Station by chance?? Or is there another Lake Grapevine place you are referring to?
If there's any interest in the Temple/Belton area I'll be glad to do the legwork to get something together. If not we'll probably do whatever the Waco folks are doing.
Hooks at the Marina. It is on the water, outdoor patio/floating, and TVs, full bar, kitchen, and it shouldn't be so busy they wouldn't lock off that part of the place for us.
I'm going to look to get something together in the Austin area. I'll gladly take suggestions on where to go if anybody has any.
Let me know if this happens. D&B party room sounds great!
It looks like it will be at Dave and Buster's for the San Antonio watch party. Will post details as it solidifies.
Any Baylor owned establishment in Dallas looking for a BU crowd?
I can likely pull 3-4 together.
