  • I get the feeling it's Arkansas. For them to still be in it after all that happened with them, to me, means they were always the favorite and he's been giving it time hoping the dust would settle with their situation.

  • I am not saying Baylor is TE U but I think Monk and Najvar have a chance to play in the NFL...especially Najvar and I heard Monk is in great shape right now knowing this is his senior year. The last NFL TE was Ronnie Lee but times are a changing as the first round draft picks can attest to.

Florida St has not had a TE drafted since 1994 and they have used a TE ever since.

Arkansas likes little H-Back TEs. I still have the open bet with anyone that if Morgan goes to Arkansas he ends up at OT. Arkansas has a history or moving big TEs to OL or DL. Before KJ Williams, who was a glorified pass catching FB, they had not had one drafted since 1987.

Ole Miss-I watched the Arkansas St bowl game and that was the most low rent spread I have ever seen. It reminded me of what Neal Brown (Tech OC) ran at Troy which was not close to what Leach ran at Tech and Brown has been exposed at Tech. The Ole Miss coach was hired from Arkansas St.

I would look for the only team that uses 265-270 lb TEs.

I will tell you that the Arky people here (and I am talking about UA athletic dept admin) feel he will honor a verbal indication given to them. They think he is coming to the Natural State.

The other thing is if Arkansas likes him so much at TE why do they have another TE already committed (same as FSU)?

  • You always take the best athletes available and let them fight it out.

The TE commit Skinner will be a WR.

His body tells me a TE is in his future.

Sure he will. This is why Texas has industry and Arkansas has a chicken farm.

Skinner, who has visited Fayetteville (Ark.) a couple of times over the last year, also held offers from Texas A&M, Mississippi State, Southern Miss and others. He said he'll bring another pass-catching threat to the tight end position for the Hogs as they continue their quest for a national title.

"The first thing is my leadership, for sure, but I can help them make big plays on the field, too," he said. "Now, I've got work to do on my route-running and everything, but by the time I get there I'll be ready to help them win a national championship."

The tight end plans to be back on the Hill for a camp this summer, but his first order of business is letting his mom know of his decision to Call the Hogs.

"My mom is actually at work right now and doesn't even know about it, so I'm going to let her know after she gets off work," Skinner said. "She's going to be excited because I know she wants the best for me. I've got to let her see Arkansas for herself but I know she's going to love it.

I agree but our coaches recruited him as a WR and have told Morgan and Hunter Henry that we are taking two TE and they are our top targets.

  • You gotta go where it is right for you. No hard feelings. If he wants to come great, if not, thats cool too.

FSU doesn't have a TE commitment for '13.

News alert: starting in 2010 Jimbo Fisher replaced Bobby Bowden as HC (& OC) at FSU and he does make use of TEs in his offense. In 2011 FSU signed the #1 TE (Nick O'Leary) who is used more as an H-back and this year (2012) FSU signed the #8 TE in the country, who is a pro-style TE. Both will play in the league after their careers at FSU.

Najvar is a draftable TE without question.

    Measurables alone gets him drafted.

  • He's not coming to Baylor. No inside info, just a gut feeling.
