ESPN RG3 gone

  • I personally think we need to throw out all of Florence's stats when he was a true freshman who was third on the depth chart behind RG3 and Blake Szy.

I bet he only got 5% of the spring snaps, then was thrown into the oven in Big XII play.

He showed me something in 2 quarters in Dallas, and I fully back him.

Completely agree. Talk about getting thrown into the fire. True freshman going from 3rd string to starter. I know he enrolled early, but as a grayshirt was he even able to participate in Spring drills?

Edit: He either grayshirted or enrolled late but did participate in Spring practice in '09, but still, being his first semester with the team I doubt he got many reps at all.

I actually think the numbers he put up were decent being thrown into the fire. I am hopeful that with all the reps plus time to mature he will show dramatic improvement statistically.

and that OU game really was a joke. He easily could have had far more yards and likely TD if we didnt drop balls all day.

I was at the aggy game too and he had a really poor game. It was very wet that day though and I believe that had an impact on his ability to throw the ball.
