Smith wears me out. Replace Smith with Jerry Jones and I've found myself in a Cowboys-esqe scenario with Baylor baseball over the past several seasons, rooting for the team in spite of its Coach/GM.

I think Smith is a good person and a good coach but as I said on another board, when it comes to PR he is dumber than a box of rocks.

If you didn't already think he was bitter about no longer being the top dog coach, things like this confirm it. Almost as if he is directly calling out Mulkey for being outspoken. I don't even know what "be who we are or shut up" means

Smith beats a whole bunch of no name programs and thinks he can pop off. Before this streak he was on the hot seat to produce.
He better hopes he wins the conference OR gets to a super regional. Because if he does not he needs to be fired. 1 CWS in almost 20 years...I'm sure we can do better.

"I don't get the venom"...? Well, let's see... ATM (and UT) boxed us into a corner that took every ounce of stroke that our president, the heavy hitters of our board of regents, and our heavy hitting alumni have to offer to save our university from pending financial annihilation. And all of that happened less than 12 months after ATM had just agreed to a contract to extend the Big 12 for over a decade. They lied and then tried to jump on their golden parachute which would have crippled Baylor for a generation. Pardon me if I don't like that they did that.

I didn't like Smith 5 years ago... I don't like him now. The win streak has been tough for me. I'm happy for the kids, but would just as soon see a 20 game losing streak if it threw Smith in the ditch. Baylor attendance is DOWN. A main reason is that people don't want to support Steve Smith. He has his small ban of followers, but a whole lot more detractors. Havent been to a BU baseball game in years. Won't go as long as he is there. I've had the other Smith (Doug) tell me I am not alone in my thinking.

We have won 21 straight and that makes me so mad I want to skip the game Sunday.
What is his problem? This is not a moral issue - it is a BUSINESS issue.
