Looks like SEC is already getting a dose of Aggies.

  • Tuxedo Yoda posted a tweet about Gator fans being a bit upset with their allotment of tickets at Kyle Field. We feel your pain, Gators. Sorry that I can't get a link to work.

Too late, SEC. You've got 'em. You gotta keep 'em.

  • Not worthy of a new thread but in other SEC news Arkansaa coach John L Smith is declaring bankruptcy.

Wait until the fans get there and find out you can't see the entire field from the visitor seats.

Huh? Ive never experienced anything close to this in all the games I've attended at Pyle Field.

  • I know they're easy to rag on, but over the past week or so, 3 of the top 5 non-pinned topics are about Aggies. Now that they're in the secsecsec, can we just forget them?

Easily the worst seats "in" a stadium. You have to turn your head 90 degrees to see the game. If you face forward you're looking behind the endzone. My neck was sore from turning the day after the one game I went there.

kyle field visitor seats suck bad. i have only bought tix thru aggy each time ive gone there for a game. you can see better from the top of the 10 story end zone than the visitor seats.

It is funny though. It's just the nature of the aggys. They always provide fodder for everyone in the state. They can't help it. So, we'll never forget them. That'd be like telling yourself you can't laugh at a good joke anymore. They're going to still be aggy, and that has innate entertainment value.

The video especially is something worthy to talk about. It was national fodder. Everyone was mocking them for it, and it was deserved. Seeing them fall all over themselves over the SEC is extremely entertaining.

  • Worst college football stadium I've been in as a spectator. Seats are too far removed from the field. I watched the game from the jumbotron because you litterally could not see the field well enough to tell what was going on.

  • I think the SEC states you have to give visitors seats between the 30s behind their team. Ags tried to fight this and lost which means they have to move their band and students.

Ags never looked at this piece taking a bit of tradition away.

yup, saw this when googling for the visitor view pic.

doesn't seem as bad as when I first heard about it. any seat that low is pretty awful anyways.

  • I go to an LSU game once a year. You are right, they put their visiting fans in between the goal lines but it is usually the highest four/five rows in the upper deck with some seats in the endzone by the teams band.

colorado's visitor seats were pretty much the same.

Like it mattered. Their stadium was always so empty you could get seats/move anywhere you wanted.

I don't think you have to put the visitors between the 30's. I think you cannot put your students (including the band between the 30's for the first X number of (20?) rows. You can put your alumni in thise seats but not students. So the aggy band has to move destroying yet another precious aggy tradition. At least they still have the tradition of breaking their oaths to fall back on. You know... an aggy's word is his bond... until it isn't.

Not sure of the rules on where visitors can be seated but if you are on row one of the sidelines all the way past the goal line you have a really really really crappy view of on field action.
