I still expect the BM band to get their asses beat down in either Baton Rouge or Tuscaloosa when they try to play over some special recognition on the field during a media timeout or trying to drown out the opposing band at the end of the game. It's one thing to do that to a bunch of sober, meek deacons. It's another to do it to some drunk, inbred hicks who's cousins with the local sheriff.

I remember telling my buddies that if the Big 12 could survive and a&m leave, then it would be a glorious thing. A dream come true. I just didn't like the uncertainty that came with it. But it happened. The dream came true.
I want to send Loftin and Deaton some flowers for leaving. This conference is so much better without all the incessant whining, and crying, and hypocritical wailing and gnashing of teeth about fairness. Maybe some chocolates to Slive. Want to give all credit where it is due.

I have no love for UT but glad Aggies are leaving as well. Big 12 has been unstable and Aggies are quitters. We will see the Big 12 gain in prestige and power while A&M suffers. In Big 12 Aggie fans could travel to Norman, Lubbock, FTW, Waco, Austin but now Aggies get to sit home and watch TV as the mighty Aggie football continues to define mediocrity.
