Oversigning

Tell me again how signing 22 this year and putting us at 85 is oversigning?

BU signed 94 over a 4 year period vs the 85 allowed on campus.

  • As long as you are replacing natural attrition I don't see the problem. The 25/85 limits were not imposed to keep players in school 4 years, they were made to keep schools like Texas from signing 250 kids a year and level the athletic playing field. To me, oversigning is when you sign 30+ kids like A&M did this year.

    Agree with you.

I would also not count a JC as a full signee as they usally will be gone in 2 years.

  • Oversigning is a way of life. At Bama it is how they are winning championships and anyone with 2 eyes can see it. They have had a ton of guys have "permanent injury" and moved to medical. When you dont have to live with your recruiting mistakes life is a lot easier.
