  • PJ3 to Dallas at #17
    Miller to Miami at #27
Acy to Portland at #40 or 41

wild speculation - acy could go to miami at #27 or via trade after pat riley saw him put 10 dunks on texas

most underrated players in this draft (based on where they project to be picked)

MIKE SCOTT (runner up for ACC poy has NBA size and excellent skill) predicted mid 2nd
Drew Gordon - excellent athlete who excelled at UNM after transfer from UCLA. productive rebounder predicted late 2nd round
Jae Crowder - will slide due to size, but can be a productive 3. predicted mid to late 2nd round
Quincy Acy - terrific athlete and does the little things. predicted 2nd round
Festis Ezlili - solid pick up in the late 1st/early 2nd

    most overrated players

MKG - I like his athleticism, but think that he is slotted too high for a guy who doesn't shoot the ball all that well.
Austin Rivers - nice scorer, but I think top 10 is too high for rivers.
Andre Drummond - may end up being a dominant big man, but too many questions to risk a lottery pick imo

  • I really just want Acy to get drafted!!!

The other two, mainly Miller, I really do not care about and do not expect to hear their names past draft day.

i really dont get this line of thinking.

i guess i get it a little on Miller, but what has Perry Jones done, outside of the quotes in that one article, that would cause Baylor fans to have any animosity towards him? they guy stuck around another year, when all indicators (prior to and after his decision to stay) said he should leave after his Fr year. he may have "disappointed" a lot of us based on his hype out of HS, but he was a good player for Baylor, and an integral part of an Elite 8 team this past season. i hope he goes very high, and I hope he has a long and successful career in the NBA.

Miller, meh, i hope he goes in the 1st round b/c that a good thing for Baylor. however, his divaish behavior is a bit of a turn-off.

Did I make a negative remark towards either of them? I said I really want Acy to get drafted.

  • I agree Ryan. The higher BU draft picks go the more the BU staff can pitch to recruits how they can set them up for an NBA future.

i never accused you of making "negative" comments. i just said i didn't get the line of thinking of not caring where Jones and Miller get drafted. Miller, i can get not caring, but i just don't see why any Baylor fan wouldn't want Jones to be drafted high and have a long and successful career. that's a very good thing for Baylor basketball.

  • some of you are bitter middle aged white men who sadly cant live out their sports dreams through a 19 year old for one more year in your favorite jersey. miller would be a perfect fit for the 3! a star next year! guaranteed lottery!! and he even said he would come back!! whaaaaa!!!!!!

the kid went to baylor and will promote baylor. he works with a former baylor coach that drew hired.

quit being aggy about miller and even some on perry.

ACY is awesome and we all love him. but the hate is pathetic.

    SHOW ME THE $$$$!!!!

    good lord you're sensitive!

...and you're completely missing what i'm saying in my comments.

also, as far as Miller's concerned, i think his chances of falling to the 2nd round are about as good as being taken in the first now.

  • any percieved lack of success by any former Bear will be used against Drew, so even those who hate a 19 year old for deciding to play basketball for a living should pull for miller's success in light of this fact.

    Bingo.

Our guys getting drafted lower doesn't help us. They need to go as high as possible. After that, it's up to them to put the work in and be successful. But the Baylor program needs as many high draft picks as we can get.

I am going to pull for Miller. Especially if he went to the Mavs somehow (highly doubtful).

I am going to pull for Jones. Especially if he goes to the Mavs (possibility)

I will pull for and buy a Quincy Acy jersey when and wherever he gets drafted.

Ryan, I am not sensitive, I am just saying that I am not rooting against Miller or Jones. I will not watch the NBA draft to see where they fall. We knew they were first rounders 18 months before they stepped on campus. The same cannot be said for Ekpe Udoh and especially Quincy Acy even getting drafted. These are guys that we coached into top talent and then they took us places we had never been before. Perry and Quincy had the skill set to get them in the NBA and I am not knocking them for that. I feel the same for Isaiah Austin and he is not even on campus yet. I cheered for PJ, QuinMill just like I am going to cheer for Austin.

    Now back to Obamacare...ninja

    very interesting perry jones article.

what is interesting about it? It is an uninformed hit piece in my book. Where are the criticisms aimed at Boeheim for playing zone? During that stretch where the Bears went 13-8 (against pretty good competition I might add) how much zone did we play? Was it 25% or 30%?

Scott Drew ran over Jonathan Tjarks puppy or something. Tjarks tries to slam him every chance he gets.
