SA: Art Briles Kickoff Luncheon

  • I will be there and will take good notes. Anyone else going?

  • look forward to the report. Jeff Howe from Hookem247 sent us a note saying he will be at the THSCA all-star games and will catch up with Briles for an interview today or tomorrow. Very kind of him to do that.

I will be in Waco Saturday for a linebackers event so will hopefully have some good football info to share from that event.

  • Briles was also scheduled to speak twice at the THSCA Convention this morning.

Briles spoke for two hours at the THSCA convention prior to arriving at the SA Quarterbacks Club luncheon. The SA QB Club is a group that supports Gridiron Heroes (support of players suffering spinal cord injuries). http://www.saquarterbackclub.com/

As expected, there was not a lot revealed at the luncheon, but it confirms CAB's enthusiasm and love for Baylor I can't imagine him being anywhere else. I didn't get the same feeling with Morriss, for example. I will go back over my notes and post a thorough recap later even though I don't expect anything too exciting.

It goes without saying that we are blessed to have Briles at the helm of our football program. Additionally, I got my season tickets by calling the office on my way to the luncheon. I AM ALL IN!!!

  • I was there too. Sorry I didn't see you. That place was packed pretty tight. I'll add anything extra after I read your report. Buddy texted me that went to his session at the coaches conference and was very impressed. We are lucky to have CAB.

    jdigdiggity,

I did see you, but it was from across the room and since we were packed like sardines, I wasn't able to get over to see you. Hope you're doing well, my friend.
