Maybe it's anger at mental lapses, lack of leadership, first-half sleepwalking, hero complexes or poor coaching/development but something is really bothering more this year than two years ago or prior. I am not X or really that negative normally about this program. Here is how frustrated:
1. Honestly don't care who comes back. While it could mean us having a lousy year, I think I would rather watch a group of guys, still pretty talented, work hard over 2 to 3 years and get back in tourney the real way. If IA or CJ are silly enough to not learn the D League lesson, I don't want them impacting team. I want more gathers types that will learn over the years to score more than long, lanky rivals guys with no post game.
2. I love what Drew has done for program but would be surprised more than sad if he found another job. If we are as committed to sports as we seem to be the last few years, we will find a way to pay for a program coach. Less devastating than a few years back.
3. Drews future, in my opinion, is dependent upon his ability to do some housecleaning this year on staff. However he has done it with recruiting, his inability to develop players will cost him recruiting in the future. This will mean that coaching guys is more important than ever, which is concerning.

Great discussion.
I will add this question, if Drew is such a great coach and someone that we could never replace, then why has no other school come after Drew after either of his elite 8 runs?
Other schools have come after all of our other successful program's coaches.
And don't give me the Memphis example. Those who know what happened their know it was not a mutual interest.

Just because you didn't hear about it doesn't mean that there hasn't been interest. There has been. In the two cases I know Scott was completely loyal to Baylor. At this point, Scott's future at Baylor is more up to him than anyoen else. Ian isn't looking to fire him. I doubt seriously the whinings of internet tough guys have an iota of influence on him leaving.
