we have good company with our neighbors. Looks like the state of Texas will be totally shut out from the field this year after Stephen F Austin lost their championship game last night.

Very bad year for Texas hoops

I think we would have made it in with the win over OSU, although it seems like getting to 20 wins is pretty important based on the 'experts' projections so far. I don't see any reason to think they will be too off. The only reason I think we could have made it in with the win over OSU is the large amount of other bubble teams that also lost games they needed to win.

Supposedly it did not happen in 1977. At least that's what the SA express news said.

First time since 1977 that no Texas teams will be in the tourney, but that was when only 32 teams got in, not 64, I mean 68.

we probably could have had more "butts in the seats" for that game had we had a larger arena. It was a sellout and the place was rocking.

Georgetown averaged just over 12,000 that season...Verizon seats about 20,000

Typically the lower seeded team however there are some exception not unlike NCAAs for baseball/softball/soccer

Are NIT games always on different nights than WBB NCAA tourney? If not, could Lady Bears hosting hinder our hosting chances?

They will schedule around it if the bid is good enough.

This seems to be the case and something to consider for future non-con scheduling. No need to go extreme with the cupcakes but make a slight adjustment in philosophy.
