I could be wrong but Drew has only changed his staff over the years due to people leaving because they had to or they got an opportunity for a head coaching gig elsewhere. I wouldn't expect that to change just because groups on the internet think he needs coaching help.

The big money boys can influence Drew if they choose to do so. Most of the rest of the fan base is too divided and too voiceless therefore to make much of a difference in these matters. I normally think a hands off policy towards coaches who choose their assistants is far and away the best one, since staffs put together under pressure from outside the inner circle usually do not work out very well. Briles wanted Bennett when he signed on with Baylor and the money was not there at that time. When the need became apparent and Bennett was still in play, the money was made available. Mulkey brought in Barmore, lost Brock, got him back, etc. It is a very touchy subject, and one that I am uncomfortable with -- much like evaluating and recruiting, another part of the over all responsibility of a coach, it is the head coach who has to be judged in the final analysis, and his fortunes rise and fall with the choices that he makes in assistants and in the organizational decisions that he makes up and down the line. Great assistants are almost always necessary for success, but if a coach prefers a comfort zone with his staff, and favors recruiting as its chief task, the outcomes will determine the wisdom of those choices. I think that that is how it should be and how it probably will be.
